The Forsyth Big Creek Greenway is still closed between McFarland and Union Hill. There have been no updates on how long the repairs will take, and the rain-out hot-line has not been updated with a date that it will re-open.
The remainder of the Forsyth Greenway is still open from Union Hill to Bethelview.

Jeff has lived in the North Atlanta Metro Area for most of his life. Growing up in Lilburn, GA, he has been a fan of hiking, biking, and boating since he was little. Now he lives with his wife and two sons in Cumming, GA. He walks the Forsyth Big Creek Greenway regularly and bikes it occasionally.
What about today?
the reson that section is so busted up is over the winter during some times of flooding i’ve seen 2 jeeps driving in that section.
The Greenway is open again after the flooding, but the section between McFarland and Union Hill remains closed.
If anyone witnesses what joe was talking about with the Jeeps driving on the Greenway, please contact the Forsyth County Police. The only motorized vehicles authorized to use the trail are the 4 wheelers used by the Forsyth County Police.
Any idea when the trail will be open again? It’s been well over a month now.
